Become a safer driver of kids
Kids & Cars is a safety awareness education program designed for primary and secondary carers of children, with a focus on safety in and around cars. The program runs for approximately one hour and is free of charge to Queensland community groups and organisations.
The Kids & Cars program covers topics including:
- Areas of risk associated with school zones
- Driver distractions
- Unrestrained passengers and items in the car
- Driveway safety
- Child restraint safety including choosing an appropriate and safe restraint for children
- Current child restraint laws and regulations
We also demonstrate how to correctly fit child restraints into a vehicle using a specially designed child restraint demonstration model.
