When it comes to venue hire, Brisbane residents need look no further than the RACQ Mobility Centre. The centre, which is located on Mount Cotton just a 30-minute drive south of Brisbane city, features a range of for-hire driving and conference facilities.
Whether you want to rent our skid pan for a motoring event, hire a purpose-built location to film, or you need to book conference, training, or function rooms, the RACQ Mobility Centre has it all.
The Mobility Centre features six purpose-built driving courses and tracks designed to support experiential learning. These facilities, which simulate real life environments, can be used to train drivers, test vehicles, and film advertisements in a safe, controlled environment.
- Road Circuit: Three connected circuits provide 3.5 km of roadway with cambers, corners, hairpin bends, a floodway, multi-lanes and sweeping curves. The Road Circuit includes a covered viewing platform and a refuelling station.
- Skid Pan: An area to manoeuvre light vehicles and a figure 8 shaped concrete circuit layout allow drivers to experience the effects of skidding in wet conditions. The Skid Pan area includes an undercover observation area and an amenities block.
- Off-Road 4WD Track: 6 kms of off-road tracks across 15 hectares features hill climbs and descents, obstacles, bush bridges, bog holes, and a water crossing.
- Vehicle Manoeuvring Area: A flat bitumen surfaced area, 140 metres by 45 metres, that’s used for heavy vehicle manoeuvring, evasive reaction training, controlled braking (wet and dry), and lane-changing manoeuvres.
- Large Vehicle Manoeuvring Area: A flat bitumen surfaced area, 150 metres by 120 metres, that’s used for large vehicle manoeuvring in both wet and dry conditions.
- Motorbike Manoeuvring Area: A flat bitumen surface, 71 metres by 35 metres, specifically designed for motorcycle riders to improve their riding ability and decision making.
The Mobility Centre is a versatile complex that’s equipped to host corporate, private and special events. Nestled in quiet, private surroundings, the Mobility Centre’s multiple training areas, conference rooms, and event spaces situated are available for hire to most group and organisations.
