By all accounts, I love Lush. The bath bombs, the bubble bars, the soap, the fresh masks: everything. Walking into the brand’s multi-story location on Oxford Street in London is absolute heaven. It’s like there’s somehow hundreds of Lush products that don’t exist in any of the brand’s other stores around the world, even in New York City.
If you’re unfamiliar with the brand, it was founded in the ’90s as an organic cosmetic company specializing in vegetarian hair, body and skin products. However, Lush has managed to totally eschew the crunchy, bland granola-style look of other eco-conscious cosmetics brands. The products are incredibly vibrant in color, smell and texture.
Above are some of my recent Lush gifts from my chic AF mom (thanks for the early bday gift!) from a major haul. Click through to see them all, then read about my top three favorites here.
1. Rosy Cheeks Face Mask: This perfect summer mask smells incredible, if you like a subdued rose scent. It makes skin feel tight, pores look smaller and after application, skin is left with a matte finish.
2. Intergalactic Bath Bomb: By far one of the most colorful lush experiences. Drop this into your bath and the water will instantly turn into the deepest, most beautiful blue. The peppermint smell is refreshing, and there’s tiny pop rock-like pieces that come out of the bath bomb and explode in the water.
3. MMMelting Mashmallow Moment: For a more subtle effect in baths, pop one of these in the water. The scent is as sweet as candy, but there isn’t much color. Bonus points for the extra moisture it provides.
