RACQ Diversity Statement

We are a diverse and inclusive organisation. We embrace the value of a vibrant, diverse, and inclusive workforce where the backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences of our employees help us innovate, make better business decisions, and better serve our members.

We are committed to providing an organisational culture and workplace that cultivates diversity and inclusion across every aspect of our business, and that supports the growth and development opportunities of all of our people to help them reach their full potential.

We strive to foster an inclusive environment, free from discrimination on the basis of gender, background, disability, sexual orientation, or life stage.

Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) annual report 2022

Each year, RACQ submits an annual report to WGEA, the government agency charged with promoting and improving gender equality in Australian workforces and helping organisations comply with their reporting requirements under the Workplace Gender Equity Act 2012. See our 2022 report here.

Our commitment to reconciliation

In 2020, RACQ formally set out its commitments to reconciliation in its first Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). In October 2022, RACQ successfully implemented its Innovate RAP.

RACQ’s Innovate RAP details our reconciliation journey and includes our commitment to reconciliation by outlining the actions we plan to take over the next two years and beyond.

The Innovate RAP highlights three key areas of action:

  • Building cultural awareness and knowledge for RACQ employees
  • Building relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and organisations
  • Assessing future opportunities, particularly in terms of employment and procurement

This Innovate RAP runs until October 2024. Read full RAP.
